If we wanted to buy ready food, we must read the food's ingredient. Most of the food written in Japanese, we had to show the paper to ask them whether there was pork or not. One day we ate at Coco curry house restaurant, we thought it was a halal restaurant, but to make sure I asked the waiter "Is there any pork on the food?" And she said yes!

A lesson learnt from my experience of the Tsunami

Abdullah ibn Umar RA stated, the Prophet Muhammad pbuh said, "If Allah wants to torture a group of people, then the people who (not guilty) would be affected with them, too. Then they will be resurrected according to their deeds." (Hadits narrated by Muslim).

A Muslimah @ A Cross Road

Life is full of cross roads. It comes because it is time for a change. How and when does this happen? It's really something out of our control. Allah is the best of planners, it is He who prepares us with little tasks, and situations in which once ready presents us with a cross road.

Where is the Tomb of Hawwa (Eve)?

In the Qur'an, and also is mentioned in the Torah and the Bible, that Adam Alaihissalam and Hawwa did not follow the commands of Allah Subahanahu Wa Ta'ala not to eat the forbidden fruit. Historical Sites in Mekkah (part 2): Kiswah

Kiswah is the place to make the ka’aba cloth. It is located next to the museum of the Two Holy Mosque Architectures in Makkah. Because the Ka'aba is the centre (Kiblah) for Muslims praying worldwide, many parties such as kings, sultans, and leaders rush to make kiswah. It is said that long time ago (before Islam) King Abu Karab Asa'ad AlHamiri was the one who made kiswah until Islam came. Prophet SAW then took over and subsequently AlRasidin caliphs, (after the kings accepted Islam and followed the Prophet) until now.

Mekkah Historical Sites (Part 1)

Many Islamic historical sites can be visited in Mecca beside the Grand Mosque, such as Arafat, Mina, Jabal Rahmah, Jabal Nur, Jabal Tsur, Exhibition of the Two Holy Mosques Architecture, Kiswah, etc. However the last two places are not too popular for pilgrimage to visit because you need to make an appointment in advance and will only be approved if you are in a group. Therefore, if your travel agent can organize to the site would be beneficial.

Wearing Hijab in The Netherlands

When you hear about the Netherlands, people's initial thought is that there are not many Muslims in this country. It is a country which hates Islam, one that allowed Geert Wilders - one of its politicians - to produce the movie “Fitnah”. However, in reality even before I left Holland 7 years ago, there were many Muslims. In the major cities, finding Halal meat, foods and groceries were not hard to find. Many halal meat butchery or Islamitisch slagerij can be found in several districts.
